FILTER

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

PJS filters are designed as dry bag filters. Automatic cleaning of bags by means of compressed air at 5–7 bar is controlled by means of a special electronic programmer, with settings to specify the optimal cleaning programme to ensure high quality operation and durability of the filter. The duration of the compressed air jet in an individual bag is very short, in the range of 0.016 to 0.1 second. The duration of pauses between air jets is in the range of 10 to 250 seconds.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

Fluid carrying solid dust particles enters the filter through an inlet opening and is distributed in the inlet duct along the entire length of the filter chamber. Inlet velocity is reduced to a level allowing the separation of the coarse dust fraction from the contaminated fluid in the collection cone. Then, the partially treated fluid continues to move along the working surface (contaminated side of the bag) and penetrates into the bag interior (clean side). In this process, a layer of dust accumulates on the bag’s exterior surface, while the cleaned air transfers through the bag, moves through an opening into the top filter housing and through the outlet duct into the piping, where a centrifugal fan drives it into the filter exhaust piping.

The solid particles that accumulate on the bag’s external surface are removed by means of an injected air jet, introduced into the bag in cyclic intervals controlled by the programmer. During operation (treatment of contaminated air), due to negative pressure, the bag is slightly bowed inwards, as far as the steel cages allow.

The injection of the air jet from the pressure tank, including some of the secondary air from the filter manifold sucked through injector nozzles, establishes transient positive pressure in the bag. The bag inflates and shakes; for a moment, part of the clean air transfers back to the outer side of the bag. The transfer of air, inflation and shaking of the bag efficiently remove the solid particles adhered to it. Dust particles stuck in lumps fall, under gravitation, into the filter collection cone. From the collection cone, dust is continuously removed by means of a transport worm and star meter back into the process or into containers.

It is the intensity of cleaning and adjustability of the filter bag cleaning system that makes these filters so versatile and suitable even for the most heavy-duty applications, such as in smelter plants, foundries, grinding plants, quarries, cement factories, etc. Specific filter details, including the speed and duration of cleaning and the quality and load of bags, will meet the requirements of the treated medium and be adjusted to them.

LIST OF REFERENCES AND AWARDS

The PJS filters, which are the result of in-house know-how and development, have been successfully marketed by our company on local and international markets for more than 30 years now. These filters reduce dust emissions into the atmosphere in accordance with European environmental regulations, as attested by competent institutions through measurements.

The filters are designed for production purposes in the processing of:

minerals, rock materials, metals, plastics, textiles, chemicals, wood, waste materials in recycling
.

We guarantee the functional performance and technical workmanship of the units.

IN THE YEAR 1995, WE WERE AWARDED THE TITLE OF “ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PRODUCT OF THE YEAR”.

IN 2008, WE WERE GRANTED A CERTIFICATE FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF EX VERSION FILTERS.
